The 4S Lithium Battery Protection Board is a specialized safety and performance component exclusively engineered for 4-cell series (4S) lithium battery packs, covering Li-ion, Li-polymer, and LiFePO4 chemistries. As a critical “safety guardian” for 4S battery systems, it prevents irreversible damage, mitigates safety hazards (e.g., thermal runaway), and extends battery lifespan—making it indispensable for high-voltage consumer electronics, industrial equipment, and mid-power portable energy solutions.
Tailored Protection for 4S Battery Packs
Optimized for 4S configurations (nominal voltage: 14.8V for Li-ion, 12.8V for LiFePO4), this board delivers multi-dimensional safeguards calibrated to 4-cell characteristics:
  • Overcharge Protection: Triggers when any single cell exceeds 4.25V (Li-ion) or 3.65V (LiFePO4), instantly cutting off charging current to avoid cell swelling, electrolyte leakage, or thermal risks—critical for 4S packs where voltage accumulation amplifies overcharge hazards.
  • Undervoltage Protection: Shuts down discharge if any cell drops below 2.5V (Li-ion) or 2.0V (LiFePO4), preventing permanent capacity loss that plagues 4S packs when “weak cells” drag down the entire system.
  • Overcurrent & Short-Circuit Protection: Blocks high currents (up to 35A, model-dependent) caused by short circuits or overloads (e.g., high-power tool startups), shielding both the 4S battery pack and connected devices from burnout.
