The highly anticipated 2026 China Cylindrical Battery Industry White Paper and Shipment Rankings has been officially released. As a trailblazer in all-tab cylindrical battery technology in China, BAK Batteries secured positions on three major rankings, underscoring its deep technical penetration and strategic market positioning.
According to the White Paper, BAK ranked 5th in the "2025 China Cylindrical Battery Total Shipment (by Unit Count)" and also secured 5th place in the GWh-based small cylindrical segment (18/21/26 series), demonstrating robust, large-scale delivery capabilities in its core business. More notably, in the highly competitive large-cylindrical sector defined by technological innovation, BAK was listed 9th in the "2025 China 46-Series Cylindrical Cell Shipment TOP10 (by Unit Count)." This achievement signals that BAK's 4680 all-tab batteries are transitioning from R&D reserves to commercial deployment.
As one of the few enterprises deploying both 18-series and 21-series all-tab/multi-tab technologies simultaneously, BAK has established a formidable and multi-dimensional product matrix. Its 4680 large cylindrical batteries are now specifically targeted at blue-ocean markets with extreme demands for power density and safety, including eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft), high-performance electric supercars, and long-duration energy storage systems. This breakthrough not only highlights BAK's strategic pivot from consumer electronics to power batteries and the low-altitude economy but also provides a clear benchmark for the industry's "second growth curve."
Looking ahead, as all-tab process technology matures further, BAK is well-positioned to unlock significant technical premium value at the intersection of global electrification and the emerging low-altitude economy.
