Calibrated to address the unique dynamics of 8-cell packs and 60A extreme discharge, the board provides targeted protection to mitigate high-power risks:
Overcharge Protection: Triggers at 3.65V (Li-ion) per cell (total 29.2V for 8S packs), instantly cutting charging current to prevent cell swelling, electrolyte breakdown, or thermal runaway—critical for 8S systems where voltage imbalance across 8 cells amplifies degradation under high-current stress.
Undervoltage Protection: Shuts down discharge at 2.5V (Li-ion) per cell (total 20.0V for 8S packs), avoiding irreversible capacity loss from deep discharge, especially during 60A sustained high-load operation (e.g., electric vehicle acceleration or industrial tool heavy use).
60A Overcurrent & Short-Circuit Protection: Leverages high-power MOSFETs to block currents exceeding 60A (max discharge) or 180A (peak surge), shielding the 8S pack and connected devices from burnout, overheating, or fire risks during extreme use or accidental short circuits.
8-Cell Active Balancing: Automatically equalizes voltage across all 8 cells during charging, eliminating uneven charge distribution—a persistent challenge in high-cell-count, high-current packs.
